Adheres to: Steel, Galvanized metal, Aluminum, Glass, Tile, Fiberglass, Ceramic, Gloss Paint and other slick surfaces without sanding. Surfaces are well sealed and primed so that the top coat goes on easier, looks better, and lasts longer. Once primed, top coats then have better coverage, gloss retention, brighter color, and hiding power. Coverage:
Up to 400 sq. ft per gallon depending on the porosity of the surface.
Application:
Tough N' White Metal Primer may be applied by brush, roller, pad applicator
or sprayer. Stir thoroughly. Do Not Thin. Apply at full strength
for maximum sealing properties. If thinning is necessary
use small amount of water (8 oz per gallon). Surface
Prep: All surfaces must be clean and free of oil, wax, dust, scaling
paint, rust and other contaminates. Clean
or New Metal Surfaces:
Remove
oily residue from surface. Apply Tough N' White Metal Primer. The Rust
Inhibitive will prevent oxidization of the surface. Galvanized
Metal and Aluminum: Wipe with xylene or vinegar to remove oil
and grease and to assure a good bond. Painted
or Rusted Surfaces:
Clean off
all loose or pitted rust by scraping, sanding or wire brush. Apply two
coats of Tough N' White Metal Primer to lock rust in completely. Fiberglass,
Glass, Ceramic, Glossy Surfaces: Wipe Surfaces clean with solvent.
Slightly sand surface for best adhesion. Vinyl
Surfaces: Pre-treat surface by wiping with alcohol. Tinting:
Tint toward top coat with Artist's Choice Saturated Paints or
most universal tints. Up to 4 oz. of color per gallon may be used. Compatibility:
Tough N'
White Metal Primer can be used over any latex paint and can be top coated
with any latex or alkyd finish paint.
Drying
Time: Under normal conditions, dry to handle in 60 minutes May
be top coated in 2 hours. Low temperatures, high humidity, poor ventilation,
may increase drying time. Use a shop or box fan to speed up drying time
if needed. Clean
Up: Use warm water and soap to clean tools and equipment. Cautions: Use adequate ventilation. * Close Container after each use. * Do not
apply when surface or air temperature is below 50F. * Store between 45F
- 100F. * Do not take internally. *Avoid breathing spray mist. * Keep
out of reach of children. * Keep from freezing. Warranty: Directions
